34All about Michelle

I’m Michelle Birbeck, author, reader, carer for my husband, bunny and faerie enthusiast, book collector, and hat box weirdo.

Most of the time I can be found chained to my computer, writing, reading, listening to music far too loud to be good for my ears. When I’m not at the computer, I’m sat with my head in a book, a real one, rarely an e one. Or watching my bunny run around the garden.

I’ve been writing since I was in school, but gave it up for a lot of years when I got married. After quitting work a few years ago to look after my husband I took up writing again. My first short story, Consequences, was published in 2011. This was quickly followed by the first in The Keepers’ Chronicles series, The Last Keeper, published in May 2012. I also self published a second short story, Isolation, at the same time.

I started this page as a blog for reviewing short stories, but it has since morphed into both a blog for reviews and a website for my books and everything else.

Though I am no longer taking review requests, I do still review what I read, and I am open for guest posts and blog tours.

Disclaimer for reviews:

I don’t get paid for any of my reviews. And until someone decides that free books count as payment, I won’t ever get paid for our reviews. They are all my very own opinions, and though I am by no means an expert, I know what I like, and what I don’t. Also, I don’t have any responsibility over any external links, though I do try and check them.
